S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike - 1961-1965
Currency Notes issued between 1961 and 1965 by the Central Bank of
Ceylon with the Portrait of Late Prime Minister
S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike. Prime Minister and Architect of the
Official Language Act No. 33 of 1956, also known as the 'Sinhala Only;
Act SWRD was assassinated on 1959 September 26th by a "Buddhist Priest".
His wife
Mrs Sirimavo Bandaranaike became leader of Sri Lanka Freedom Party
(SLFP) and was eleced Prime Minister of Lanka on 1960 July 21st. The
First Woman Prime Mister of the World.

Horizontally separated double punch holes in the middle space used for
the signatures.
