Sometime in early 2017 printing of Replacement Notes was stopped by DeLaRue with
implementation of Single Note Inspection Machine (SNIM).
2016 Rs 100 Z/30 Note of Ravi Karunanayake & I. Coomaraswamy, was Not issued.
Varieties
DKS - 1989 Rs Rs10 Rs50 Rs100 - Dot after H. N. S. Karunatilake Signature
NTD - 1991 Rs 100 - No Tamil Dot on last letter of front left edge denomination
DB - 1992 Rs 100 - Dark Brown reverse D/16 to D/52
LO - 1992 Rs 100 - Light Orange reverse D/53 to D/72

Pr Consecutive Pair
Total of 105 possible Sri Lanka Replacement *-Notes of different
Type, Denomination, Date, Prefix and Variety are listed above.
4 of them (.T.) were probabaly not printed as replacements.
Replacements of 10 of them not seen or reported with images to me so far.
All Denominations and all dates of the Series 9 are known.
Dealer Selliah Jackson informs me that although he has seen a number of these notes in both denominations, all of them are of the First date. As this is statistically very unlikely, it could indicate that they used the remaining prior replacements from the first date, when replacements were needed at quality control of the second date.
Also low serial numbers 1321 and 366, for the 1988 Rs500 and 1989
Rs1000 replacements are known. The expected 0.2% of 1987 replacement
notes is 10,000 and 20,000 for a 5M and 10M issue.
So most probably the 1987 Rs 500 and Rs 1000 did not use replacements.
So Logically 10 of 14 most probably were issued, but remain unconfirmed.
Of the remaining 91 the LakdivaCoin collection has 68 *-Notes. A Type set ignoring Date, and Variety but including Prefix has 37 *-Notes of which all have been seen or reported to me so far. Need image of one *-Note. The LakdivaCoin collection has 28 of the 37 Types of *-Notes.
