HOW TO USE THIS BOOK

  1. The holder's name, address and rice ration book or
    token card number must be written in spaces provided
    in page 1.
  2. Loose Coupons will not be accepted by the shop-
    keeper. When shopping you must not cut out the coupons
    yourself, but must hand this book to the shopkeeper and
    let him cut them out.
  3. The Clothing Books of deceased persons must be
    surrendered to the Textile Controller.

 

 

Coupon Sheet 1 :

Word SENIOR on top with two horizontal lines on either side. 24 ½ Point coupons sequentially numbered pairs from 1 to 12 arranged in a 6x4 array bottom right to left; bottom to top.
Each coupon has ½ within circle above, HALF POINT in rectangle. In textured background Crown on Top and sequence number below.
2 of the 24 coupons have been used.

 

Coupon Sheet 2 :

Word SENIOR on top with two horizontal lines on either side. 24 ½ PT coupons sequentially numbered pairs from 13 to 24 arranged in a 6x4 array bottom right to left; bottom to top.
Each coupon has ½ within circle above, HALF POINT in rectangle. In textured background Crown on Top and sequence number below.
6 of the 24 coupons have been used.

 

Coupon Sheet 3 :

Word SENIOR on top with two horizontal lines on either side. 12, 1 Point coupons sequentially numbered from 1 to 12 arranged in a 3x4 array bottom right to left; bottom to top.
Each coupon has 1 on top left and right corners. 1 POINT within circle at center. In textured background Crown above with sequence number bottom right, and S bottom left indicating Senior.
7 of the 12 coupons have been used.

Coupon book with 11 of 36 points used was purchased from a dealer in Colombo.

Camboy is written in Sinhala as කම්බා and Veddie is written as වේට්ටි which is far more clear than the the term used in English.

Must try to include the Sinhala and Thamil to reflect the language usage of the era
