SRI SANGABODHI BANK on bottom center Banner, and on top in Sinhala. Buddhist Era (BE) Year 2513 in four corners. On left within circle the Hand political symbol of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP). On right within frame portrait photograph of Late S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike facing forward founder of SLFP and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka who was assassinated on 26th September 1959. Geometric and floral designs printed in Blue party color of SLFP with red overprint in central vertical band.

The bill design has been finely drawn by hand with the layout and design of the dark brown Rs 100 note which had been in circulation since 1952. Printed about 2% wider and 2% higher by two color 100 dpi block printing.
