These pencil drawings were probably between those with name Reserve Bank of Ceylon
and the preliminary essays for the Central Bank of Ceylon,
after that name was finalised.

CENTRAL BANK OF CEYLON AND IS ISSUED ON BEHALF OF THE GOVERNMENT OF CEYLON
below which the Date 1ST FEBRUARY 1948.
Two dummy Signature representing facsimile signatures,
Below which in small font MINISTER OF FINANCE on left
and GOVERNOR OF CENTRAL BANK on right of center. ofSix digit
Serial Number with single letter prefix on upper left and lower right.
All within a rectangular decorated border with two pillers on either side.

The essayer name is not given on essay.
The second part of the Legality statement which was excluded from
subsequent essay and all issued notes is an explicit statement of
Authority for issue and liability of CBC.
The notes at xx dpi is displayed at about 50 dpi if assuming
height of 1952 notes of these denominations.
