Has legality statement with
Legal Tender used on Ceylon Banknotes since 1941 September
and signatures of Commissioners of Currency.
This was probably after independence 1948 February 4th and before
deciding on a Reserve or Central Bank of Ceylon to issue notes.
The series since 1941 September continued to be issued with dates
1st June 1948 and 1st March 1949

The Rs 1000 does not have the date and commisionors of Currency
mentioned on it, but is clearly of the same essay series since it has
the same legal statement and design features.
The essayer name is not given on essay.
No Date scribbled on front of essay card.
The notes at xx dpi is displayed at about 50 dpi if assuming
height of 1952 notes of these denominations.
