High Denoination Currency Note issued in 1971 by the Central Bank of Ceylon with the Portrait of Late Prime Minister S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike, including for the first time for enhanced Security, printing which was visible only under Ultra-Violet light.

All within a rectangular decorated border with Numeric Value in all four corners. The lion facing left with sword in right paw to right of Numeric on upper left

Micro-printing repeated in a range of varing small sizes in Sinhala, ශ්‍රීලංකාමහබැංකුව covering all of blank space on the back.
UV Printing: In front 3 pairs each of denomination 100 and Flag Lion with sword on both left and right in Orange
In Back Floral design on Vertical border on either side in orange and a band of Micro-Printing in Yellow.

The note design used after the 1970 demonetization was considered an election violation as the "Hand" was the Political Symbol of the SLFP, and the raised hand was removed from 1971, only to return in 2009 note with both hands.
