William McKinley(1843-1901) was the 25th president of the United States, serving from 1897 until his assassination in 1901. He rejected the expansionary monetary policy of free silver, keeping the nation on the gold standard.

Representation of the Statue of Freedom draped a flowing, toga-like robe. Her hand rests upon the hilt of a sword sheathed in a bundle of rods, in her left hand she holds a laurel wreath of victory.
